… sad, but true. I wanted to tell you about the news I heard today, even though I’m sure you’ll get there before me and buy all the vodka.
The Majestic Liquor store on Oak Lawn at Lemmon Ave is going out of business and is selling everything at 40% off. Apparently most of the liquor is gone but there is plenty of wine left.

G.H.Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé Champagne
1.25 oz Absolut Elyx vodka
.75 oz simple syrup
.25 oz lemon juice
2 bar spoons coconut cream
Handful of raspberries
Muddle 5 or so raspberries in the bottom of a shaker tin. Add vodka, simple, and coconut cream, then shake with ice. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass, then top with G.H.Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé Champagne over the back of a spoon. Garnish with grated nutmeg and raspberries (if desired).
G.H.Mumm Grand Cordon Champagne
1 oz Plymouth Gin
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz Campari
Combine gin, vermouth, and Campari in a stirring glass and stir with ice until chilled. Strain into a fresh glass and then top with G.H.Mumm Grand Cordon Champagne. Express an orange peel over the top, then add as garnish.
