Susie O

I’m a Texas native with a predilection for all things booze and an aversion to repeating myself.

I graduated from SMU in ‘08 with a marketing degree and PR minor and did that whole thing for a little while; now I work for myself as a social media consultant.  When not working, writing, freelancing, or drinking, you can find me working out, shopping, or trying to find the best queso in Dallas.

I started this blog in the beginning just to share my huge list of happy hours with friends.  After realizing I didn’t have any hobbies and just worked all the time, and I was beginning to bore myself, so my dad and I had a brainstorming happy hour to determine a new hobby that could be constructive.  He told me flat out, “Put the things you do well together—drink and write.”  (Thanks, Dad.)

I now am a marketing consultant, blog part time, and freelance for The Dallas Observer, Texas Lifestyle Magazine, D Magazine, and Bevvy.co. I just recently launched TheJetsweater.com, a free resource for those who are looking to stay active when they travel.

I hope you enjoy reading my random machinations on how to drink all the things in all the places.
